Bar or Baby

With so many brands in our portfolio back in 2015, we thought why not open a bar too? Seemed like a great idea, one bottle shop, one restaurant bar. We were pulling drafts of Mountain Goat, 8Wired, Stone and Wood, de Molen, Evil Twin, Dugges, Garage Project, Omnipollo, Zeffer, Kaiju, Feral, Jack’s Abby, 3 Fonteinen, La Sirene, Against the Grain, and Brekeriet. There’s nothing like curating a draft menu of 20 beers, ensuring a great, wide selection. Our customers were great, and we felt rewarded. Believe it or not, we never had drunk customers at our bar, not even once. No one ever puked, and no fights. That’s not to say we didn’t have our share of excitements. There were customers fainting and hitting the floor hard from diabetes (not sure why diabetics were attracted to our bar). We had someone snort cocaine in our toilet but forgot to put the bag back into his pocket. One of our part-time staff treated our store room as his personal laundry and wardrobe. We had fierce Pokémon battles outside our bar any time of the day. We’ve had bankers, fashion designers, engineers, bio-chemists, French hipster, and PhD graduates as part of our team. We’ve had to clean up a Ferrari because our drainage bursted and fell on top of the car park underground. We’ve even had a customer tip us $10,000 for less than a $1,000 bill.

After close to two years it felt like things were getting on track, and one day to our surprise - a third child was on the way. It would’ve been impossible to juggle a new born with our workload. With a heavy but relieved heart, we chose to close that chapter of our lives. We had embarked from a 2 year project, to a 20 year project - lol. Such is life …..

除咗賣高質手工啤畀大家返屋企慢慢嘆，我哋仲想有多啲交流，同大家一齊分享！所以喺2015年我哋開埋酒吧，前所未有咁做咗個一共有20款drafts手工啤嘅menu，排名不分先後包括：Mountain Goat, 8Wired, Stone and Wood, de Molen, Evil Twin, Dugges, Garage Project, Omnipollo, Zeffer, Kaiju, Feral, Jack’s Abby, 3 Fonteinen, La Siren, Against the Grain, and Brekeriet，唔知大家有冇飲過呢？ 除咗手工啤多，我哋客戶帶嚟嘅難忘回憶都好多！好好彩嘅係從來冇人飲醉過或借醉上演店內MMA，但我哋經歷過患有糖尿病嘅客人暈低跌落地；有曳曳嘅朋友喺洗手間上電但又冇帶走佢嘅非法電滋；門外每日上演捕捉Pokémon大戰；因為爆屎渠整污糟咗人哋架法拉利；遇到消費唔夠$1000但又畀$10000 tips嘅豪(好)客(Veronica)⋯⋯當中又點少得我哋嘅團隊，成員由banker、時裝設計師、工程師、生物學家、法國潮男到博士畢業生都有，仲有當咗鋪頭儲物房係佢私人衣帽間嘅兼職同事⋯⋯ 但更瘋狂嘅係，呢間日做15個鐘、賣埋brunch同咖啡嘅酒吧只經營咗兩年就結束，因為有更大嘅20年計劃跟進：第三個BB準備要出世，人生就係充滿愛！
