Hong Kong’s First Specialist Craft Beer Store

Back in 2012, there weren’t any physical craft beer stores, and we wouldn’t dare call what we were doing back in the hardware store in Sai Kung as one. Three figures played a crucial role in our beginning: Toby Cooper from The Globe, Jeff Boda (and his team) from Hop Leaf, and Laurie Goldberg from Americraft. If you’re enjoying a craft beer today in Hong Kong, tip your glasses to these individuals, they started the market that we see today. We opened Hong Kong’s first physical specialty craft beer store in 17 July 2013. At first we had Hop Leaf and Americraft’s portfolio, along with our own imported craft beers from Australia, New Zealand, and Europe, we even had The Globe’s amazing pies. Tracy had the foresight to include other items like Australian confectioneries (she was craving them herself), and a small selection of other beverages like wines. Joey Chung joined our team three months later on 15th October 2013, and from that - we were off to the races.

喺追溯The Bottle Shop成為香港首間銷售手工啤實體店之前，先想向我哋三位啟蒙老師致敬，分別係The Globe嘅Toby Cooper、Hop Leaf嘅Jeff Boda以及佢嘅團隊，同埋Americraft嘅Laurie Goldberg，因為佢哋帶領咗手工啤喺香港嘅發展，令到大家今時今日可以嘆到咁多唔同嘅高質手工啤。我哋喺西貢嘅本店由2013年7月17日正式開始營運，當然開始嘅時候都有呢三個原祖品牌嘅產品，包括Hop Leaf、Americraft嘅啤酒，仲有The Globe超好味嘅批點；之後就Tracy再引入更多嚟自澳洲、新西蘭同歐洲嘅品牌，仲有零食同紅白酒，等大家有更多優質嘅選擇，同年10月，The Bottle Shop團隊再多一個重要成員 - Joey Chung，正式三人上場！
