What we find here is the universal truth, THE BIG BROTHER ALWAYS WINS....
We're comparing the Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc 2025 with its brother the Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 2025.
Notes for the Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc 2025: Nose: Gooseberry, citrus, tropical fruits. Palette: much of the same, a bit of grassiness, high acid, perceived sweetness.
Notes for Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc Reserve 2025: Nose & Palette: BIG passionfruit, gooseberry, ripe tropical fruits, herbaceous, saline mineral, high acid.
We found the Rapaura Springs Sauvignon Blanc a great everyday wine, perfect with food, but if you're looking for a bit of depth and complexity, along with Saturday night intensity, the Reserve is the way to go. It's so intense that it may overpower most (sensible) food you thought perfect with Sauvignon Blanc. Although i'm not a great New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc fan, i did enjoy both and would certainly drink this with friends.
