Rich, almost extravagant, this wine offers ample evidence that red wine blends in Campo de Borja can achieve relatively lofty heights. This Garnacha-based wine, allied with helpmates such as Syrah and Cabernet, shows lots of black fruits, even hints of cassis, along with barrel-derived vanilla, pepper, and spices. Drink now or in the next five or so years.
The wine comes from grapes grown in mountainside vineyards located between 1,650 and 2,100 feet above sea level.
