Willow Bridge Estate 'Dragonfly' Shiraz, 2021 Geographe, Australia

HK$145.00

Estate grown from the spectacular hillside vineyard in the Ferguson Valley of the Geographe wine region, fruit is sourced from 1998 plantings, in our north facing Forrest, Jarrah and Blinman blocks.

Soil is typically a deep layer of ironstone gravelly loam over red and yellow friable clay with slight westerly aspects at elevations of 220 to 250m above sea level.

Dragonfly Shiraz is an expression of the juicy and generous varietal blackberry and blueberry fruits we attain in the Ferguson Valley, complemented by fine tannin and supporting French oak.

Tasting Notes
Blueberry, perfumed berries and a vanillan background provide a powerful and striking aromatic. Cooling berry fruits, raspberry and blueberry, distinctive traits of the region. Complemented by fine lingering tannin.

Vineyard Notes
A season in which we have had our hottest December days ever, our warmest nights since 2012 and our driest December since 2008 However despite these conditions being thought of as less than ideal, we could not be happier with the overall quality of the wines from the vintage, when all this occurred in tandem with the absence of our two nemeses, bushfires and birds! We did though experience a low yielding crop.

Production Notes
100% barrel matured in new and older french hogsheads.

Varietal: Shiraz
Vol: 700ml
