The Steinhaus Riesling dry from Weingut Trenz from the Rheingau shines light yellow in the glass, on the nose surprises a bouquet with scents of green apple and grapefruit. On the palate wonderfully fresh and mineral with hints of sea salt, lively and fruity until the long aftertaste.
The grapes for this dry Riesling come from the highest altitude of the vineyard, which is particularly ventilated by permanent westerly winds, from vines that are already over 30 years old. The soils are made of taunus quartzite and quartzite weathering stone, the stone content is exceptionally high. The vines stand on 10 cm of ground surface, including stone immediately. After selective harvesting, the Riesling grapes are pressed whole, fermented cool at controlled temperature, and aged in a stainless steel tank.
