Red wine Crianza. 20 months in French oak barrels.
Triga 2020 unfurls a captivating array of aromas, intertwining ripe cherries and raspberries with a floral hint and strokes of spices, underpinned by a subtle toasted nuance. On the palate, it presents a robust yet approachable structure, with a texture that gently caresses the palate. The ripeness of the fruit is counterpoised with a vivacity that encourages continued sipping, culminating in a medium-bodied, concentrated, and refined red wine.
Triga is a red wine produced by Bodegas Volver in Alicante. This winery, belonging to the group of Jorge Ordoñez was founded in 2004 by Jorge Ordoñez and winemaker Rafael Cañizarez.
Triga is made from the Monastrell (85%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) varieties. The grapes come from old vineyards located in the municipalities of Salinas and Pinoso (Alicante).
The vineyards are planted on glass on fossilized limestone soils, at an altitude of 700-750m above the sea.
For processing, after a traditional fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels. Later Triga is aged for 20 months in French oak.
