Collaboration brew with our friends at Sapwood Cellars. Brewery in Columbia, Maryland. Sapwood Cellars was cofounded by Scott Janish, renowned brewer and author of must-read book and scientific guide, The New IPA: Scientific Guide to Hop Aroma and Flavor, and Michael Tonsmeire, celebrated brewer and author of the quintessential “funky” sour beer book, American Sour Beers. Scott and Mike are two of the most respected brewers in the world and Sapwood Cellars is one of the most acclaimed and innovative craft breweries in the United States. This collaboration Double Dry Hopped Hazy Double IPA highlights the depth, intensity, and
range of flavours and aromas of two exquisite hop varieties: Citra from the Pacific Northwest in the U.S., and Nelson Sauvin from New Zealand. We hopped this beer with an insane amount of different Citra and Nelson hop products: copious amounts of Citra and Freestyle Nelson T-90 pellets in the whirlpool and dry hop, followed by generous amounts of Citra Cryo, Freestyle Nelson (Bliss Process) T-90 hops, and innovative Citra and Nelson Abstrax Quantum Brite in the dry
hop. It's the most intense expression of Citra and Nelson Sauvin we've ever brewed delivering huge tropical, stone fruit, citrus, and Sauvignon Blanc white grape flavours and aromas!
