Yakka Shiraz is sourced entirely from Longview’s vineyard at Macclesfield, Adelaide Hills. The fruit was hand-picked to minimize fruit damage, fermented on skins for 7 to 10 days in open fermenters. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in old and new French Oak Barriques for 18 months.
The Longview ‘Yakka’ Shiraz is an elegant, cool-climate Adelaide Hills red offering vibrant blackberry and cherry flavours layered with white pepper and dark chocolate. Medium-bodied and supple, it features a savoury complexity, refreshing acidity, and a structured, dry finish.
