A nose with distinct notes of green fruit, apple, and citrus fruits. Recognizable aromas of oak, originating from the barrels in which the lambic has matured. A slightly tart, refreshing bouquet typical of a spontaneously fermented beer. Taste: This version is designed to be softer and less acidic than the standard Hanssens Oude Gueuze. A full-bodied and fruity taste with a soft, woody bitterness. An interplay of different vintages of lambic that provides depth without coming across as aggressive. The aftertaste is dry and long, with the intensity gradually increasing. Aftertaste: A beautiful balance lingers between the typical lambic acidity and a fresh, soft fruitiness.
