A single sniff of this young whisky and we immediately pictured a patisserie shop turning out pastries at full tilt. Created and aged so that despite its “mere” nine years of ageing, it has the ability to convey emotions and tones beyond its years. Thus, it takes us right back to that age of lollipops, to when we would gaze in amazement at sweet shop windows. To a time when mischief and misbehaving were our daily work. By now we’ve become accustomed to an indelible trade mark which, with this new release too, offers a very clean, clear nose.
A green bouquet with fresh scents and tones, fruit tart, white chocolate and vanilla. In the glass, aromas of straw, hay and freshly ground cereals. With the typical impatience of youth, it flaunts elegant tones of icing sugar, extract of bergamot, sesame and mint, but also spicy and balsamic notes that follow through immediately, leaving us speechless in amazement, just like when we used to gaze at that sweet shop window...
