Juniper Berries 30g

Juniper Berries don't instantly strike you as a spice, but they're almost as versatile as any spice can be. The liquor Gin was developed using Juniper Berries, which is how Gin got it's name (The french for Gin is genivre, and the Dutch for Gin is jenever). Juniper Berries are a little too bitter to eat directly, but when used in cooking they bring out a great sweetness in wild game and other tough meats.
