The name of the brand - Indi & Co - is a tribute to where tonic water has been invented: Indi & Co. British colonial masters used to mix quinine with water as a medicine against Malaria. Today tonic water is obviously not seen as a medicine anymore, but as a refreshing soda.
The Botanical Tonic Water is produced using ingredients such as orange peel, lemon juice, cane sugar, quinine and calamondin. The production resembles the making of a gin where botanicals are macerated in alcohol before the distillation and mixing with fresh water. The final steps in the manufacture of this tonic water are made in Jerez de la Frontera where the tonic gets carbonated, bottled and labelled.
