Most of us think New Zealand when we mention Sauvignon Blanc, however there are quite a number of region that produces this varietal of grapes. New Zealand does have a very refreshing, acidic, herbaceous, tropical fruit driven profile, while those of the European variety, including Sancerre, Loire Valley, and Bordeaux tend to be more crisp, mineral, and herbaceous, rather than tropical fruity.
